OCR310 Miniature OCR Reader Module for OEMs

OCR reader module for airport applications

With its compact footprint and optimised low-power usage, the OCR310 is an optical character recognition reader (OCR) module designed for integration in hand-held devices for applications such as queue-busting at airport check-in desks and for security where portable devices can be used to verify passenger identity through ID cards.

The OCR310 optical character recognition unit is designed specifically for OEM manufacturers to integrate into portable hand-held devices and ultra-mobile PC devices. A powerful optical character decoder is integrated within the device: the Access advanced recognition engine provides highly accurate and very fast document reading and is based on Access' well established technology.

The OCR reader module reads and passes code lines from machine readable travel documents including machine readable passports, visas and ID cards. In addition, debit and credit documents can be read, together with E13B, OCRB and mixed E13B and OCRB fonts.

The module is very robust: click here to read its environmental test report.
