Access IS employs the majority of its staff based out of its headquarters in Reading, UK.
One third of our staff are educated to degree-level education and are employed in the management, sales and product design teams. Half of all staff members are employed in the production department and the remainder are involved in the administration of the business.

Technical Director (February 2012)
A key member of the Access IS management team, you will be responsible for the technical leadership and overall management of the engineering function of the company. A clear and confident communicator, you will be capable of providing strong and highly visible leadership, with the ability to maximize the full potential of your team as well as forging strong customer relationships. Target focused and solutions oriented, you will have proven technical management experience ideally gained in a technical manufacturing environment. Knowledge of computer peripheral market would be useful.
- You will be responsible for all aspects of the technical management of thebusiness.
- Lead, develop and inspire the engineering team.
- Create,manage and review hardware and software design concepts.
- Have the ability to introduce and develop good business systems and processes.
- Supervise future recruitment of the best and most suitable people for the department.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of current developments in the industry.
Desired Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of business and have a successful technical background. You must show proven success throughout your career with the ability to work closely with a project driven sales environment.
- A good degree gained in electronics engineering, physics or computer science subject.
- Relevant experience within the computer or electronics manufacturing or related industry.
- Knowledge and implementation experience regarding the use of technology and software within a business.
- Natural leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate the team.
- General understanding of production and ability to work closely with the Operations Director to help drive continuous efficiency improvements.

Based at our headquarters in Reading, UK, we are looking to recruit an experienced sales account manager to develop new business opportunities and manage existing key accounts promoting and supporting our airport sector products as well as identity document reading products intended for security applications.
The candidate should have a proven track record in selling to and supporting customers in these sectors. Extensive travel will be necessary.
