LSR110 Mobile Ticket and Voucher Reader
Intuitive to use and measuring only 7 by 9 cm, the LSR110 operates on presentation of a mobile phone or PDA displaying a bar code. The high performance 2D omnidirectional bar code imager captures bar codes within a second of presentation in any orientation. A bright green indicator and sounder confirm a good read. Ruggedly constructed with no moving parts the devices are built to withstand years of use.
The LSR110 may also be configured with data format settings. Serial RS232 and USB (serial or keyboard) interface versions are available.
The LSR110 imager reads all popular linear, PDF417 and 2D symbologies. It can be configured to connect directly to a workstation or through an Access ATB42x series integrated keyboard.

Applications

Delivering targeted offers and information to customers via their mobile phone can help drive increased retail sales. Mobile users rarely leave home without their phone and so it is a sure way of gaining their attention. Access’ LSR110 device is a responsive and fast device designed to allow an untrained member of the general public to read bar codes from mobile phones.
As mobile devices with multimedia capability become widely adopted, retailers will be able to use mobile coupons as a low cost and dynamic way to attract customers. Vouchers can be delivered to a targeted sample of loyal customers or downloaded on request from a web site.

Bar Code Symbologies
For many years, the auto-id industry has standardized on several linear bar codes. It is now becoming increasingly common for PDF417 2D stacked and 2D symbology codes to be used where more information is required to be read from a bar code.
PDF417 has Error Correction options that allow the bar code to be read even if part of it has been destroyed or marked. Pixel based 2D bar codes, such as Aztec symbology are ideal for downloading to a cell phone display.
The LSR110 Reads:
All common linear barcodes (EAN / UPC, Interleaved 2 of 5, Industrial 2 of 5, IATA 2 of 5, Code 39, Code 12)
2D stacked bar codes ( PDF417)
2D bar code (Aztec, DataMatrix and QR codes)
