LSR120 Utility Bill CBC and Address Barcode Checker for Anti-Fraud for Bank, Building Society and Finance CDD and AML
The Access IS LSR120 barcode imager has been optimised to read CBC (customer barcode), linear and 2D barcodes commonly used on utility bills to allow verification against the printed address, helping to catch fraudulent documents presented to banks, building societies, credit unions, trust and mortgage companies.
Utility bills, and other documents with a customer bar code, are often used for proof of address and as a part of customer due diligence (CDD) and anti money laundering legislation (AML). While the address is easy to falsify on a document, producing a fraudulent postal or customer barcode is more difficult or often overlooked. The LSR120 provides the operator with instant reading and decoding of barcodes providing a useful additional check of the presented document.
The LSR120 is a high performance barcode imager which can read barcodes in any orientation in less than a second. A bright green light and audible sounder indicate a good read.
Purpose designed to scan documents on the table top, the imager reads all popular linear, PDF417 and 2D symbologies currently use by postal systems and documents around the world including POSTNET, PLANET & Intelligent Mail barcode (IM barcode), CBC (including RM4SCC & KIX), Japanese Post and PostBar. The wide depth of field and bright aiming line allows the operator to read the barcode intuitively and without hesitation. All the operator has to do is present the document under the imager’s wide field of view and the barcode is captured. The omnidirectional imaging decoder within the unit can read barcodes presented in any orientation.
The device has no moving parts and is designed for years of use. A mounting bracket can be used to secure the device in place to prevent its loss or it being accidentally dropped.
