Access IS gains TickIT

Reading, UK, 21st May, 2008: Access IS announces the extension to its ISO9001:2000 accreditation to to include TickIT certification.

 

TickIT provides a framework for good practice and continuous improvement in software design, relevant to Access where in-house software design is at the heart of the performance of its products.

 

In the UK, TickIT is recognised by all government departments and major purchasers and it is compatible with European requirements for accredited quality system certification.

 

Access' managing director, Roger Wylie, commented, " With only 1,400 TickIT certificates having been issued world-wide, we are continuing in our aim to be at the forefront of good design practice. The reliability of our products is paramount and a reliable products needs sound hardware and software design."

 

The TickIT website states that, "By implementing a quality system and gaining certification, an organization is demonstrating management's commitment to quality and is sending a clear signal to users and competitors that the delivery of quality is a principal management objective. The TickIT logo indicates that the certificated organization is involved in software development and that TickIT guidance and certification procedures have been followed."
