Ultra Compact POS Keyboards
Access Keyboards have launched a new range of compact programmable keyboards at Retail Solutions. These keyboards are exceptionally small but ruggedly built and designed for demanding retail POS applications.
Initially two models will be offered. The QWERTY over POS layout will be popular where text entry for customer details or Back Office functions are required. The 120 key 15x8 matrix layouts will suit general POS applications. An integrated GlidePoint mouse device can be fitted to either layout.
EMV Level 1 & 2 “Swipe and Park” terminal is available and this has the provision for a PIN pad to be attached enabling retailers to accept PIN based Cardholder verification. Alternatively there is an MSR reader option for regions where EMV Chip Card payment is not implement.
Access Keyboards provide a pre-configuration service to customise keypads with special key top layouts, colours and legends. Cool white and grey case colours match industry standard peripherals.
All key positions can be programmed to have a single character or string of characters. A keyboard pass-through port is also fitted for system maintenance and programming. Layouts may therefore be made to order and upgraded on site.
The keyboards use high quality switches with a rated life of more than 50 million operations and have a height adjustable moulded enclosure that measures 293 x 187mm. Cable entry points are recessed as a group in the back of the keypad for neat installation.
