OCR32x OCR Reader
The OCR32x series compact OCR readers are suitable for use as an addition to simple networks or PCs, and complex systems alike. The OCR32x OCR reader family is widely used in airport, banking and industrial systems around the world.
The dual illumination OCR reader captures code lines from machine readable text, for example with cheques (checks) in banking, travel documents, passports, visas and national ID cards in transport and automation in industrial process control.
OCR32x devices are extremely compact. Optional mounting brackets are also available to enable an OCR32x to be mounted at almost any angle and integrated into any environment.
Host connection is via an industry standard RS232 or USB interface through a detachable cable. The OCR32x is a low power device and can usually be powered from a PC keyboard or USB port, removing the need for a mains power supply unit. An auxiliary RS232 port allows connection of a decoded bar code scanner.
