Programmable Point of Sale Keyboards
Access' AKC range of compact programmable keyboards are ruggedly built for demanding retail POS applications. Keyboards are constructed with high quality switches with a rated life of more than 50 million operations. Cool white and dark grey case colours match the industry standard peripherals. Access provides a configuration service to customise keyboards with special key top layouts, colours and legends. Our Windows configuration software enables users to design their own layouts. Key positions can be programmed to have a single character or a string of characters. Adjacent keys may be combined to make double or quad keys. Keys may also be disabled using a key switch lockout cover. A keyboard pass-through port is fitted for system maintenance and programming. Full control of your peripherals can be achieved with a few lines of code using the OPOS compatible drivers and programmers toolkit.

Two basic POS keyboard types exist: QWERTY-style and Matrix (X-Y)-style. Also available, PS/2 to USB converters for using legacy keyboards where only USB ports are available.
AKC114 - a 114 key reduced QWERTY over-POS layout. Ideal for speciality, fashion and department stores where 'extra' QWERTY keys are not required, making room for additional POS function keys.
