Access-IS Scan & Fill® Launches

Reading, UK: Access-IS, part of HID Global, known for innovative hardware solutions for reading and imaging travel & ID documents is delighted to announce the release of its new Scan & Fill^® software. Scan & Fill has been developed to enable all customers to capture and input any ID document data into their chosen software without requiring any software development or integration.

Scan & Fill is a software application which runs on Microsoft Windows 7 or later and is controlled and accessed via the System Tray. Supporting our entire ID Document Reader range, this easy-to-use tool can input data into existing GUIs or fields from any MRZ, barcode, MSR, RFID data and/or image information from ICAO 9303 compliant documents, incl. e-Passports, ID cards & visas as well as ISO 18013 compliant driving licences.

Scan & Fill allows the user to create multiple templates, where they may select which data items to extract from the source document, how the retrieved items should be arranged before sending them to the target application, and which application or process to send them to. Multiple templates may be activated during a single document scan so that data may be sent to more than one destination; the user does not therefore need to scan the same document repeatedly when the data is to be consumed by multiple applications.
