Access-IS ticket validator receives ITxPT approval label

Reading, UK – February, 2020: Access-IS is pleased to announce that it has recently received the ITxPT label for its advanced VAL100 Ticket Validator. The device has been tested and approved in accordance with the ITxPT specifications S01 V2.1.0 – S02P00 to S02P09 v2.1.0.

The Validator, which already boasts Contactless EMV, CE and FCC certificates, now obtains another industry standard label. Its design, which follows the ITxPT guidelines, means the unit easily integrates with on-board devices and vehicle computers to help create a truly plug and play AFC environment. The open architecture design of the VAL100 means it is also able to integrate with any third party software.

The VAL100 has been designed with the customer experience at its heart. It quickly and easily reads tickets on all media, including paper & mobile barcode, smartcard, NFC, contactless EMV bank cards, and mobile payments. Access-IS ticket readers and validators are unique in offering a “single point of presentation” to the passenger. No more searching for the right place to present a particular ticket! Access-IS’ VAL100 On-Board Ticket Validator has been certified by the Information Technology for Public Transport (ITxPT), an organisation that promotes interoperability between IT systems in Public Transport by offering public specification of IT architecture based on standards with open interfaces for on-board, over-the-air and back-office IT systems.
