Access-IS helps power Rototype SPS Calenzano document processing cabin

Reading, UK – September, 2020: Access-IS is excited to announce the integration of its sophisticated ATOM^® ID document reader into Rototype’s innovative SPS Calenzano, multifunction document processing side cabin which is already being trialled in both Dubai and Saudi Arabia with Mashreq Bank UAE and EmiratesNBD.

As the digital transformation of the banking environment has accelerated over the past few years the traditional banking landscape has seen a revolution. Fewer and fewer staff members, smaller banking halls and less branches, however, many of the traditional requirements still remain, ID verification of credit, certification of documents, proof of address and identity.

For banks it has been essential to explore new ways to deliver a physical service to customers where they are, sending documents in the mail is simply not acceptable for either party.

The elegant cabin offers an ID & Scan option, SRSD (Scan & Return and Scan & Drop) technology for scanning, laser quality with fast printing, documents stamping using a customized rubber stamp and simple integration with any Self-Service ITM (Interactive Teller Machine) & VTM (Video Teller Machine).

Featuring the Access-IS ATOM as the primary customer touch point, the SPS Calenzano is a side cabin which can be installed in e-branches, ITM, VTMs as an optional module to extend the services of passport / ID scan, scanning of A-4 size documents like application forms, applications, complaints, suggestion or any other document that needs to be submitted to the bank. Thanks to the SRSD, scan and returned, scan and deposit technology clients can be helped to decide the best process for their scanned document.

The Access-IS ATOM automatically captures images of the identity document in multiple wavelengths of light and extracts personal data from the MRZ using OCR. The high-resolution colour, infra-red and ultraviolet images can be used by electronic identity document validation technology to instantly check the documents authenticity. NFC capability allows the devices API to access the RFID chips of e-passports & eID cards to provide digital personal data, biometric image and perform basic security checks on the document.

The SPS Calenzano is also equipped with a printing engine which allows users to print A-4 size documents in laser quality and with their proprietary stamping engine the machine is able to stamp such pages with a customized stamp by the bank and expose of the prints in the document collection pocket.
