With two decades of experience in making some of the most recognisable document readers on the market, Access-IS listened intently as customers and the market told them what they wanted in the next generation of products. Having adopted a ‘revolution not evolution’ approach to this next generation document reader, ATOM now boasts a host of new innovative features. ATOM®leads the market as the first full-page passport reader to feature a USB 3.0 interface. This latest standard of Universal Serial Bus allows ATOM® to capture multiple, uncompressed high-resolution images in Visible, IR and UV wavelengths whilst substantially improving processing and transfer speed. In comparison to other scanners, ATOM significantly reduces the transaction time to deliver greater productivity and cost savings.
Like its predecessors, ATOM still delivers lightning fast MRZ decoding, whilst simultaneously reading RFID data from eDocuments, including those meeting the latest ICAO LDS standards. Additionally the high performance 1D/2D barcode reading ensures that ATOM delivers the rich feature-set that Access-IS document readers are famous for.
