Space-Saving Keyboard for Lloyds TSB Counters

Lloyds TSB custom keyboard

Access Keyboards has won an order to supply a new space-saving keyboard for Lloyds TSB counter positions. Occupying only 60% of the space of a standard IBM keyboard, Access’ product has a keyset arranged to suit a teller ‘s requirements and an integral Glidepoint pointing device. The keyboard is completely programmable allowing new functionality to be introduced in the future.

To win the prestigious order Access demonstrated its ability to deliver custom tooled products in exceptionally short lead times. Extensive user tests were conducted prior to selecting the final layout. During this stage, Access provided functional evaluation prototypes within days to facilitate the trials. Ramp up to full production followed 6 weeks after approval was given to proceed.

Access Managing Director, Roger Wylie commented " We are delighted to win this order from the UK’s largest retail Bank. We are probably the only company in Europe who can achieve this short lead time for a project of this size. We have keyboards still in use in busy teller positions which are more than 8 years old. We know our products are built to last."
