The OCR640 desktop is designed to verify documents presented by customers as proof of identity as a part of satisfying customer due diligence (CDD) and anti-money laundering legislation (AML), such as the US PATRIOT Act and FATF initiatives.

 

The OCR640 desktop full-page multi-illumination reader captures Infrared (IR) and Ultra Violet (UV) data, as well as the full-page of a passport as a colour JPEG image. Simultaneously it captures and decodes MRZ data and eData. including the passport holder's image, from the chip.

 

The unit automatically detects when a document with machine readable data has been presented and a user-programmable audio beep instantly confirms successful data capture, making it simple for untrained or inexperienced users.

 

Additionally, it is able to compensate for out-of-position MRZ data, so that the advanced recognition engine reliably provides highly accurate and very fast document reading capability, allowing large volumes of documents and smart cards to be processed quickly and efficiently.

 

Furthermore, its robust, rugged, quality-assured UK manufacture is designed to withstand years of frontline use.
